I've marked this with a warning for "mature" content because I'm nervous about upsetting anyone! I'm painted and have pasties, but yes, am mostly a whole lot of naked.

I don't have any good studio or scenery photos of this outfit, but I felt I needed to put up at least one photo of it.

I made an Oola costume and wore it at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con and Dragon*Con.

The lekku are latex and made by Pam. They're designed after the Aayla Secura design, or basically the Prequel Twi-Lek design - I know Oola has really long lekku in the OT but I didn't have time or money to go about making more authentic lekku myself.

The outfit consists of leather and black netting, with some metal on the headgear.

The body makeup is Reel Creation alcohol-based airbrush makeup that takes about two hours to be applied (very graciously by my boyfriend).

I wear pasties, which you can actually notice in this photo, but now I'm wearing a better brand that blends in better.

This is a ridiculously time-consuming costume to wear, and a lot of trouble...but also a lot of fun in the end...until it's time to take the makeup off and I'm stuck in the bathroom for another hour >.>

Hey there, scruffyrebel. I've got a quick question. My friend is going as Darth Talon for Celebration VI and she's curious about how to make lekku. I know you've got Pam credited for your lekku, as do a lot of other people dressed as Twi'leks. Is there any way I could get into contact with him/her? If you could give me any information on the subject, that would be great! Thank you so much. :] AMAZING costume, by the way. Oola has always been my favorite Star Wars character!

What kind of Airbrush do you use for application? I am in the process of making an Aayla Secura costume and I was wondering what brand to go for. Gorgeous costume by the way.

Hi! I use Reel Creations for the Oola makeup, and Skin Illustrator when I do Ahsoka...it's purely based on who has the better colors for the characters. I mix colors to get the Oola color, and I know a lot of girls have mixed colors to get a particular shade of blue for Aayla.

If you didn't notice, I was quite surprised you made this when I first saw it. 'Hope you can bring it to CVI, wherever it is. At CV, they're supposed to have a Rancor head - you can do a deleted scene! ;)

With AP picking up a photo and your name, you have a guaranteed place in history. The costume you wore was
awesome and very accurate. I think though Oola was
more green although photos of her color vary. And the
amount of effort spent was incredible.

Everyone thinks Oola is more green, but she really isn't when you see studio photos. She's this weird mix of green and yellow. But in Jabba's Palace the lighting is so dark. I actually got recommendations on what color to go with from an aibrush makeup manufacturer and also a makeup artist for the Prequel Star Wars films.

Yeah...I'm that kind of crazy. The makeup cost about $60 for each time I wear the costume, so I wanted to make sure I had as close to the accurate color as possible. I think the color came out better when I went to Dragon*Con though.

I think Oola looks more yellow in studio settings (maybe because of automatic computer color correction when processing the photos) and the ROJ Special Edition studio portraits. In the movie and behind the scenes with natural lighting, I think she looks to be an olive green. One gentleman who worked on the set with Femi said she was quite green. Anyhow, a brilliant make up job nonetheless.
