My friends Kat and Jenn wanted to make the Disney Faeries costume as interpreted by the Disney parks. I got stuck with Tink. I say stuck because I, like many of my friends, automatically like Fawn, and I'm a shitty blonde.
I wanted to go with a more realistic approach to the Tink outfit as far as the material it was made out of. It's supposed to be a leaf, and shiny stretch velvet like the park uses wasn't the way I wanted to go. Instead, I used leather. My boyfriend airbrushed the design and I added the rhinestones using the park outfit as our resource and guide. I swear I had glitter on, in fact, a lot of it, but it doesn't seem to show up well in any photos I've seen so far. Wings made by On Gossamer Wings.
